Specialist Clinical Supervision and Case Consultation

For Therapists Working with Trauma, EMDR, Addiction and Complex Relational Presentations

Helping therapists think more deeply, work more confidently, and create meaningful change with their clients.

Some cases demand more than a generalist supervisor can offer. If you're working with complex trauma, betrayal trauma, addiction, psychodynamic psychotherapy, or EMDR, you need supervision and consultation from someone who understands both the complexity of the clinical work and the realities of sitting with it day after day.

I'm Rebecca Higgins

I offer specialist clinical supervision through a trauma informed, attachment-focused lens for practitioners who want to deepen their thinking, strengthen their confidence, and continue growing as therapists. Whether you're navigating challenging presentations, refining your clinical approach, or looking for greater depth in your work, supervision provides a space to pause, reflect, and think alongside an experienced clinician.

I believe good supervision is about more than problem-solving or meeting professional requirements. At its best, supervision helps us develop as practitioners. It strengthens our capacity to think clearly under pressure, make sense of complex therapeutic dynamics, and remain grounded when the work feels uncertain.

My approach is relational, reflective, and clinically rigorous.

Drawing on psychodynamic psychotherapy, trauma theory, attachment-informed practice, and EMDR, I help practitioners develop greater clarity in their case conceptualisation, confidence in their decision-making, and a deeper understanding of the therapeutic relationship. Over time, supervision becomes a place where theoretical understanding deepens, clinical identity strengthens, and a more authentic therapeutic voice emerges.

Who Supervision Is For

Supervision with me is for practitioners who are serious about their clinical development. You might be:

Building a reflective practice that keeps you sharp, grounded and professionally accountable.

Sitting with clinical self-doubt, uncertainty or the early signs of burnout.

Working with complex, high-risk or multi-layered presentations that need specialist support.

Deepening your psychotherapeutic skills and theoretical grounding.

Finding your feet in private practice and wanting experienced guidance alongside you.

Stepping into leadership or supervision yourself and wanting a strong model to draw from.

I work with practitioners from diverse therapeutic orientations and professional backgrounds.
